Reiki is the ancient act of laying on of hands on the human or animal body to comfort or relieve pain. It can either be done directly or distantly. This energy healing modality has been passed down from Dr Mikao Usui who lived in the 19th century. Reiki has been known to complement all other forms of healing, including medicine and psychology.
Reiki has been known to:
- Promote deep relaxation
- Strengthen immune system
- Energise and balance the whole body
- Increase rate of recovery from injury or illness
- Promote peace of mind and body
- Relieve stress and anxiety

I now feel like I have guidance as to how to work with energy and I’m excited to practice and learn more so that I can be of service to others as I feel that is my calling. Its only been 2 days since the class and I’m practicing the self-healing positions and I feel at peace after each treatment and I’m also feeling like I’m on the road to fulfil my bigger dream.
