Women’s Circles

What is a women’s circle?

In circle, we come together fully as women. It is a sacred and safe container that allows you to be seen, heard and felt in whatever state you are. It is a time of simply being you, no pretenses, no masks, no inhibitions or however you allow yourself to be.

In this nurturing and loving space that we, women, naturally cultivate when we are together, we are able to support one other through holding space, through sharing our innate feminine wisdom, and simply through the presence that we bring.

What do we do in a women’s circle?

Each women’s circle that I facilitate has a core theme which is always related to an area of self-love that I intuitively feel is calling to be shared and/or strengthened at the time.

Whatever it is, we will explore it through meditation, breathwork, somatic movements, journal writing, circle sharing, and practices to cultivate authentic expression, heart connection, and giving and receiving.

Why should you join a women’s circle?

A women’s circle is one avenue through which women can cultivate more oxytocin, popularly known as the “love hormone.” This hormone has been known to produce a calming effect on women and can combat fear and anxiety.

A 2002 UCLA study has shown that the natural fight or flight response in women is marked more by the “tend and befriend” response. She will naturally nurture her children and gather with other women. When she does this, she produces more oxytocin and combats the fight or flight response.

How I see that in our modern day is that the more stressed we women are, the more we are actually in need of connection. Our biology calls for it.

In addition, due to the sacred and loving container that we hold in circle, you will walk away feeling seen, heard, and supported. You will realize that you are not alone in your experiences and you may also walk away with new wisdom gained for your own life.

What will you gain from attending a women’s circle?

In each circle that I facilitate:

  • I share wisdom I have gained in my own journey from the darkest moment of my life to the thriving life I am now living.
  • I share tools that you can easily use in your daily life to cultivate self-love.
  • I offer an embodiment practice to guide you towards your own transformation.

When you learn and experience a self-love practice in a women’s circle, you offer your mind and body a reference that enables you to cultivate that same practice naturally and a lot more easily outside of circle. Couple that with having the safe space to voice out what matters to you, a women’s circle provides an avenue for strengthening your inner wisdom, cultivating peace within, and being supported in your own transformation.
