Because giving myself Reiki first and foremost is possibly one of the best self-love practices ever. Reiki is the ancient healing method of laying-on of hands. “Rei” means Universal and “Ki” means Life Force Energy. All living beings have this life force energy. Without it, we’re called dead.
Reiki came to me at a time when my own self-love practices were starting to go down the drain. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t connect back in. What I didn’t realise was that my self-love practices were incomplete. Simply placing my own hands on my own body in a loving manner boosts my connection with my self and my soul.
Engaging with my own body through my hands and giving my energy body the care she needs with the Unconditional Love Healing energy of Reiki taught me a great deal about unconditional self-love. Because every day, even when I didn’t feel good about myself, the better part of me would encourage me to do self-Reiki.
And then I just let Reiki do its wonders.
Why I like to share it with others is because it opens us up to being in true connection with ourselves and in true connection with others and the Universe. It inherently empowers those who receive a Reiki attunement to give themselves the healing they need whenever they need it.
One person feeling balanced, whole and loved can have a positive ripple effect on others. At this time in our civilisation’s history, I believe its what our world really needs.
